Who we are The Saglietto family, made up of Enrico, Tiziana and our two young children Giovanni and Giulia, originate from this Medieval hamlet for many generations. Our village of Poggi is beautifully positioned on gentle hillsides behind Imperia. It overlooks the Mediterranean, and gives the visitor wonderful sights of the blue sea and the silver-grey of the olive groves. |

We are well established producers of Extra Virgin olive oil of the "Taggiasca" cultivar (an olive variety which is much appreciated and known throughout Italy) of high quality, and cold pressed. Our production is further enhanced by our wine, which is a typical white of this area and called "Vermentino". The production is in a somewhat limited quantity: 2500 bottles a year. Our Farmland extends over 4 hectares (12 acres) of olives and vineyards. |

| From 2001 ,the Saglietto family has also opened its doors to hospitality, with refined and charming accommodation typical of old Ligurian properties. Today there are apartments situated in the olive groves and in the historical part of the village: the guest can choose to sample village daily life or simply bask in the sun and admire the sea. |

They also have a choice to discover the amazing charm of the green hillsides and spectacular mountains by walking with the local guide Lorenzo Gariano who speaks perfect English. He and the Saglietto family business are closely linked in order to try and give the visitor the most pleasant possible break.

| In the evening, upon returning to Saglietto, an aperitif and small delicate Ligurian snacks (green pie, bruschetta with tasty tomatoes, olive pate and a fresh Vermentino) will give you the opportunity to sample the flavours and aromas of the Mediterranean cuisine. We can offer these facilities for most part of the year as we are positioned in an amazing sheltered area which offers an incredible microclimate and where the winters offer the most spectacular colours and quality of light so renown amongst painters and artists. |  |

The area is rightly known as the "Riviera of Flowers" and you can walk even in the depth of winter amongst the flowers of mimosa, bird of paradise and the brilliance of the lemons and oranges. All this crowned in the backdrop by the snow capped peaks of the Maritime Alps. | |||||||||||||||
